Dogs' Wellness Examinations

Whether you are taking an adult or puppy to the veterinarian for a wellness checkup, you will discuss your dog’s behaviors. Their eating, drinking, and exercise routines will be of interest to the veterinarian. Additionally, you will need to discuss how “regular” their eliminations are.

Additionally, your veterinarian will consider the following:

  • The manner your dog sits, stands, and walks.
if your dog is receptive and awake.
  • The weight of your dog.
  • The haircoat of your dog. Is it too dry? Too greasy? Too much shedding?
  • The eyes of your dog. Do they have a red color? Is there a discharge? Do they have clouds?
  • The ears of your dog. Do they have an infection?
  • The teeth and mouth of your dog. Are the teeth covered in tartar? Your Dog have ulcers or other problems?

Cats' Wellness Examinations

Because of their nature, cats are more difficult to investigate. Your veterinarian must, however, be well informed about your cat’s litter box habits, food and drinking routines, and whether they live indoors or outdoors. Additionally, your veterinarian will consider the following:
  • The degree of alertness of your cat.
  • The weight of your cat and whether they are overweight or underweight.
  • The haircoat of your cat and whether dandruff or dryness exist.
  • The eyes and ears of your cat. Are there any anomalies or discharge?
  • Your cat’s teeth. Are there any stains near the lips or fractured teeth?
Additionally, your veterinarian will listen to your cat’s respiration, pulse, and cardiac rhythm.
